Animation

Frame by Frame animation

Frame by frame animation is my specialty and the medium i still excel in compared to other animation techniques. Below are my personal projects that i entirely hand animated myself.

Monster - ref sheet & storyboard

Monster Animation

6 fps, 0:22 seconds. This is my most detailed animation ever, it was also my first time ever animating on such a low fps. I had to learn how to space things out and learn how to make movement look fluid despite the low fps

There i am - story board

Storyboard

There i am, there i am again

12 fps, 0:23 seconds. This was one of the longest animations i took to complete, specially because of the fps i chose. Usually i stick to 10 fps so learning how to animate on 12 took some getting used to

Piano tiles - story board

This was a very rough storyboard i did while on the bus

Piano tiles

8 fps, 0:22 seconds. This was a short project animation i did, it was meant to be quick and easy. Just a way for me  to practice simple animation

Live2D

Live2D is an animation technique (as well as the name of the software) used to animate static images that involves separating an image into parts and animating each part accordingly, without the need of frame-by-frame animation or a 3D model.

Vtuber model

Here is the first ever vtuber model i made, this was a personal project i did for a friend as a surprise gift. All art, separation and rigging was done by me and took in total roughly 7 days from start to finish. I rigged the model in the free version of Live2D Cubism which meant i was more limited in what i could do.

The floating character on the bottom is a watermark for the tracking software I'm using and is not part of the model.

Live2D Animation

There is also a animation feature in live2D where you can animate models after rigging them, live2D uses  tweening and is quite similar to animating on a software like blender where you edit the speed of keyframes using a graph.

This animation was made for my level and world design CA, it's a looping video for the title screen. Everything from the art to the rigging and animation was done in around 4-5 days, the animation itself only took 1 day. This was also done on the free version of live2D so i was limited in what i could do.

Tweening animations

I've never really tweened anything before doing these 2, the Helldivers 2 logo was a simple animation while the next one was drawn, rendered and animated by me
